Waterproof Camera Hire sell and rent cameras to people in the UK looking for a good quality camera to take on holiday or to use at an event.In late 2010, after a great deal of research, the concept of offering the option to hire waterproof cameras and camcorders to the public was judged to be an exciting & potentially very successful business model. No real competition existed in the UK so the marketing challenge was to communicate the availability of cameras for hire.
The main hurdle in building this camera hire site was to seek the right e-commerce software package. After a great deal of analysis and debate the best system that seemed to deliver maximum performance was X-Cart. A hire calendar had to be integrated with the X Cart software to turn it from a standard e-commerce site into a time based hire site. X-Cart is such a flexible and capable system that the overall site was delivered on time and on budget to the required specification. Waterproof Camera Hire are delighted with the final product and the site has been working for some months now without a hitch.
The back office part of X-Cart is a dream to work with. Details and specifications can be easily amended. Adding new products using the clone tool in the software is inspirational. Well done, X-Cart and Samson Web Design on a project well done.
